What does this cost?

Planning your footprint, the checklist, and the Executor Portal are free — always. A one-time fee of £4.99 applies when you download your encrypted .legacy file for the first time. If life changes and you need an updated file, import your existing lockbox, edit it, and download a new version for £2.99. There is no subscription. See our Refund Policy for details.

Can I update my .legacy file later?

Yes. Accounts change — new streaming services, new emails, new subscriptions. Upload your existing file and passphrase on the Update Legacy page, make your changes, pay £2.99, and download a fresh encrypted copy. Replace the old file wherever you stored it so your executor has the latest version.

Do you store passwords?

No. Kind Closure maps where accounts exist and what you want done with them. We never ask for passwords, seed phrases, or login credentials.

What if I lose the .legacy file?

The file is your only copy — we cannot recover it. Store it securely with your will, give a copy to your executor, or keep it on encrypted cloud storage.

Is this a legal will?

No. Kind Closure is an administrative planning tool. It complements — but does not replace — a legally valid will and professional estate advice.
